Hardware Insertion
Hardware Insertion Services in Sandy, Utah
Hardware insertion is the pressing of studs, standoff, nuts, and other metal fastening pieces into sheet metal.
Using between 3000 and 12000 pounds of force, the PEM (insertion hardware) is forced into the sheet creating a smooth surface and instant hardware, no welding required. Each of the PEM's contains teeth or shape that when pressed into the metal provides additional grip and resists turning when mating hardware is tightened. This saves significant time and money. Allows for accurate placement for equipment mounting.
Aside from the accuracy, the laser is also able to etch lines. This can mean brake lines for bending parts, part numbers, or other lines.
